Perform lead abatement activities at school facilities in accordance with Virginia state regulations and project specifications
Set up and maintain containment areas, ensuring proper engineering controls are in place prior to work
Safely remove, package, and dispose of lead-containing materials following all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines
Conduct personal air monitoring and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project
Operate and maintain abatement equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Coordinate with project supervisors and site personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule
Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and site-specific procedures at all times
Support asbestos abatement activities if licensed and directed to do so
Required: Valid State of Virginia Lead Abatement Technician license (must be current and in good standing)
Demonstrated experience performing lead abatement in occupied or institutional settings such as schools, government buildings, or similar facilities
Working knowledge of EPA and Virginia DEQ lead abatement regulations and safe work practices
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including wearing full PPE for extended periods
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach the project site
Preferred / Plus: Valid State of Virginia Asbestos Abatement license — candidates holding both certifications are strongly encouraged to apply
Hotel accommodations provided for the duration of the project
$25 per diem per day to cover meals and incidentals
Placement flexibility based on your availability — start date of June 15 or June 16
