Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: discovery, demo, multi-threading, procurement, negotiation, and close.

  • Partner with the founding SDR on pipeline strategy and supplement with your own outbound into target accounts where it counts.

  • Run sharp, consultative discovery with GMs, multi-unit operators, and HR leaders; translate pain into ROI with numbers they believe.

  • Close deals ranging from single-location operators to mid-market franchise groups; own the commercial conversation including pricing, terms, and renewal structure.

  • Leverage the full AI-native sales stack — call intelligence, deal review, signal-based outreach, and automated enrichment — to run a higher-velocity cycle than a human-only rep can.

  • Operate as a player-coach: build the close playbook, write the demo script others will run, shape messaging with marketing, and feed product insights from the field.

  • Help decide which verticals to prioritize and participate in hiring AE #2.

  • Hit target benchmarks of $80–120K in new ARR closed per month within ramp.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle closing experience at B2B SaaS companies, with at least one tour selling into SMB or mid-market operators.

  • Documented track record of top-decile performance — President's Club, top-of-leaderboard, or measurable outperformance against peers; able to recall quota attainment by quarter without looking it up.

  • Experience as a founding AE, early sales hire, or first-in-seat closer at a startup where you built process rather than executed someone else's.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to run a demo for a multi-unit franchisee and negotiate a master services agreement with a mid-market HR leader in the same afternoon.

  • Deep fluency with the modern AI-native sales stack and strong opinions on what works: Gong/Chorus, Outreach/Salesloft, Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot/Salesforce, and AI agent platforms for deal acceleration.

  • Comfort defining your own process without managerial direction.

  • Bias toward action, obsession with detail, and a thick skin.
